Sunday Times Newspaper

The Sunday Times newspaper is one medium of communication. Some newspapers are published daily, but the Sunday Times newspaper is published week end. The Sunday Times newspaper educates the people. The Sunday Times newspaper gave to us good knowledge. That is why it has become popular among the people. In the Sunday Times newspaper there is an especial newspaper for children. It is the Funday Times. The Sports page is very popular among young readers. Not only sports page, TV Times is very popular among small children. TV Time page gave to us choose TV program.

My Dream

My dream is to be a photographer. First I lean about camera and get pictures from Horizon Lanka Foundation. I’m happy to say my photographs have been published in flickr site and kottu site too. When I’m a photographer, I would like to upload my new photos to these sites. I would like to visit beautiful places. One day I hope to join the Photography and then teach others.

Harry Potter

Harry Potter movie is about a magic school. Both children and parents are interested in Harry Potter. Harry Potter book was written by J.K. Rowling. This magic school has three prominent children. They are two boys and one girl. They are Harry Potter, Ron and Hermione. Harry’s role is done by Daniel Jacob Redline. Daniel’s date of birth is the 23^rd of July in 1989. He is from Fulham in England. His hobby is acting. He has acted movie like “David Copperfield”, ”Teller of Panama”, “December Boys” and “Harry Potter movies. He is a brave, brainy boy, who loves his dead parents. He is strong-minded and attractive boy. Hermione is brainy and clever girl. Ron gets exited easily. He is timid Hagrid loves children and rears a fire dragon. Hagrid has a big body.

Harry Potter movie has 7 parts. First one is “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” Second id “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” third is “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” fourth is “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” fifth is “Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix” sixth is ““Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” seventh and last one is “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

My Hobby

My hobbies are writing to pen friends, e-mailing them, reading novels, writing small stories and collecting old stamps. Most people like to collect old stamps. It keeps our minds active. It also helps us to keep our lives in order. Old stamps are very valuable. I like to joke with my friends and write essays. The sports I like are group netball, volley ball, cricket, football and basketball. I like reading books. I find it interesting. I know much about authors. Some authors write their own life experiences. My favorite novel is “Madoldoowa.” Its author is Martin Wickeramasinge. The main characters of this story are Upali and Jinna. I like these famous characters very much. Madoldoowa is a world famous story.

 

Digital Butterfly

My only ambition is to buy a computer. I achieved this under the Digital Butterflies program with the kind donation from LearnAid, Kuwait. I like to learn Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Golive, Flash, Illustrator Software and Power Point. I thank LearnAid very much. I was very happy.

It is a used Pentium computer. I hope to use it well. I gave Rs. 5000 and LearnAid donated the other Rs. 5000 to help us buy that computer.

Once I get a good knowledge of computers, I hope to buy a brand new computer.

I’m Krishanthi Priyadarshani. I’m eighteen years old. I have three sisters and two brothers in my family. It is a big family. My dreams are to improve my English and Computer knowledge. I’m lucky to have improved my skills from Horizon Lanka. I like to become a graphic designer and a photographer.
